After two wedding postponements / cancellations due to Covid, and unfortunately a great deal of money lost, my (now) husband and I decided to elope to Scotland! I spent some time looking at
different photographers local to the area and struggled to find someone who fit what we were doing. All the photographers I could find were traditional ‘wedding photographers’ and came with the
associated price tag. When I found Silvya’s details, I got in touch and she directed me to her instagram page. BINGO! I knew I wanted some pictures of the ceremony and hotel where we wed, but
also knew we wouldn’t be there that long and instead wanted to get some photo’s out in the city with all the beautiful, historic architecture around us.
Everybody says they hate having their picture taken, but I really really mean it when I say it and so much so that my face honestly makes it clear too as I nearly always end up with pictures
where I have either one, or both of my eyes shut!! Needless to say, I was anxious about being photographed. To add to it, my husband was a little reluctant about my ‘city pics’ idea as he said he
would feel stupid.
We are both so glad we booked Silvya and so glad she encouraged us to not worry and go for it! We booked her for 2 hours which included messing about with a taxi to get into the city, and she
honestly went above and beyond to keep things ‘chilled’ and to ensure we captured a good range of pictures in different settings around the city.
Silvya was able to suggest different places and backdrops that we would never have known and it was clear that her artistic eye was exactly what was needed as I would have never picked some of
the backdrops without her guidance. Silvya has given us a set of wedding pictures that are really unique and personal - she gave us more than we could have anticipated and I can’t wait now to
book our anniversary family shoot which includes a newest addition who was a welcome bump in our wedding shots!
When researching online for a photographer for our tiny Edinburgh elopement, it was important for me to find someone who’s photography style I loved, but also
someone I felt we would be comfortable around. Silvya was absolutely wonderful throughout, from the initial email enquiry to the very fast arrival of our wedding photos. My husband and I both
find it difficult to be in front of the camera, but she did her best to put us at ease and we love our photos. Very highly recommended, and the perfect photographer for reportage style
pictures.

Despite arranging our wedding remotely from the other side of the world (New Zealand), Silvya made it so easy for us. Her communication was amazing, she always responded to any queries in a very
timely manner. And she was so patient with us, despite our communication not always being quite so timely! Silvya's wedding packages are a bargain beyond comprehension, and the pre-wedding shoot
was such a lovely little bonus. Silvya never made us feel rushed, she built an easy and immediate rapport, and we were at ease immediately. Which made for some truly incredible photos. They truly
are the most lovely photos I've ever seen of myself and my partner, and they have made us both feel beautiful.
Our wedding photos are simply
stunning. They have by far exceeded my expectations, and they have captured our ceremony perfectly.
